OUR STORY

Wild Oaks Soap was created by owner Kara Bennington after years of working in the skincare industry as a licensed esthetician. It was there that she discovered the endless world of skincare products. From professional strength to natural and organic products, there seemed to be endless options to choose from. But how could she recommend products to her clients without fully understanding what was inside them? She was shocked to learn how much went into making everyday skincare products. Even something as simple as soap appeared to have an ingredients list a mile long, full of preservatives, detergents, and synthetic foaming agents. It was then that she began making her own soap, the old fashioned way with ingredients everyone would be familiar with. Her hobby quickly grew into a business, now known as Wild Oaks Soap. Handcrafted in Cotati, CA, surrounded by wild oak trees, we hope you enjoy these soaps as much as we enjoy making them.
